King's Week Ahead - Week of January 19, 2026

Greetings King Families,

We hope you have a meaningful day of rest and service on Monday, honoring the legacy of our namesake, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There are no classes, and school will resume for students on Tuesday, January 20.

Here’s what to expect this week:

• On Tuesday, January 20, there will be a School Site Council meeting on Google Meet from 6:00 - 6:30 PM, followed by at PTA meeting online, beginning at 6:30 PM.

• Wednesday, January 21, there is a field trip for 7th Grade students to the Exploratorium. Please be sure your student returns their permission slip to be eligible to go! If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Mahmood.

Looking ahead, there will be no school on Monday, January 26, for BUSD district professional learning. Additionally, on Wednesday, January 28, the 6th Grade class will have their field trip to the Exploratorium.
