King's Week Ahead - Week of April 20, 2026

Greetings King Families,

This week, our 8th Graders embark on various trips during their Builder’s Week Experience, including field trips locally around the Bay Area and an outdoor education excursion to San Bernardino. We wish them well on whichever experience they participate in!

Here’s what to expect this week:

• Monday, April 20, there will be an ELAC meeting from 8:45 - 9:45 AM in the Staff Lounge

• Tuesday, April 21, the School Site Council (SSC) will have a meeting from 5:30 - 6:30 on Google Meet. PTA will have a monthly meeting from 6:30 - 7:30 PM, on Google Meet.

• Friday, April 24, the Quarter 4 Progress Report ends, with grades due for teachers in Infinite Campus the week after.

• Saturday, April 25, BUSD will host the annual Climate Fair at King alongside the Edible Schoolyard Project’s Plant Sale from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

If you want to see the Middle School Lego Robotics teams in action, the BUSD First Lego League tournament is being hosted at the Berkeley High School cafeteria from 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, today! Cheer on the teams and watch our King teams try to defend their 1st place finishes from last year!

Additionally, state testing will be coming up, beginning on Monday, April 27. More information will be coming in a separate message tomorrow.
