Greetings King Families,

This week is a short week for students, with a Staff Development Day on Monday, October 5. There will be no school on Monday, and classes will resume on Tuesday, October 6.

Here’s what to expect this week:

  • Tuesday, October 6, is Picture Day. Students will take their photos during their PE and Dance classes. Blue Note Photography will send emails with links to review photos and place orders within a couple of weeks. Makeup Day, which is for students who miss tomorrow, is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 13.

  • Friday, October 9, will be the annual 6th Grade field trip to Codornices. Please reach out to Ms. Mould or your core teachers for more information.

  • Additionally, the Fall Festival will be taking place on Friday from 4:30 - 7:00 PM. Please connect with Ms. Gregor and the PTA if you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer and support the event!

  • Finally, Friday is the end of Quarter 1, with grades being published the following week. For some students, classes will rotate in Quarter 2, and they will be notified by their teachers and counselors of any changes, such as Wheel or PE rotations in 6th Grade.

Here’s a couple of other notes and reminders:

  • Next week, there will be no school on Monday, October 12, for the recognition of Indigenous Peoples Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, October 13.

Thanks, and have a great week ahead!

With love,

Michael Tison Yee
