Greetings King Families,
Tomorrow, there is no school, as we observe and honor Indigenous Peoples Day.
Here’s what to expect this week:
Monday, October 13, there is no school. Classes will resume on Tuesday, October 14.
On Wednesday, October 15, there will be a club fair during all recesses. Encourage your student to go check out all the various student clubs that are offered on campus–we welcome students to participate in our various cultural, affinity, and interest groups!
The week ends on Friday, October 17, with the Fall Festival in the evening, from 4:30 - 7:00 PM. There will be food, games, and various activities for students and families. We encourage families to come together to enjoy the event!
As a friendly reminder, we have now entered Quarter 2, with grades from Quarter 1 due for teachers this week. Please be sure to check Infinite Campus to discuss progress in each class with your student. Quarter 2 grades are a continuation of Quarter 1, with a culminating, final semester grade in December.
Looking ahead, here are some items to be aware of:
Wednesday, October 22, is our School Picture Day. Students will take their photos with their PE or Dance teacher.
Soon, we will have detailed information about Parent-Teacher Conferences. For now, know that they will be happening from 1:30 - 5:30 PM on Tuesday, October 28, and from 2:30 - 6:30 PM on Wednesday, October 29. There are some slight nuances at each grade level and minimum days with 12:20 PM school day dismissals. For the upper school, signups will happen through Humanities classes, with signups opening on Monday, October 20, through Sign Up Genius. More information is coming soon!
Thanks and have a great week ahead!
With love,
Michael Tison Yee
