King's Week Ahead - Week of December 15, 2025

Greetings King Families,

This is the last week of school in December, and before we know it, we will be ending our first Semester! We want to take a moment to thank you for your partnership and support this school year thus far–this work wouldn’t be possible without you!

Here’s what to expect this week:

• This Wednesday, the King Bands Winter Concert is happening from 6:30 - 9:30 PM in the Auditorium. On Thursday, the King Orchestra Concert will perform from 7:00 - 9:30 PM.

• On Thursday and Friday, 8th Graders will have their Hearing Screenings performed through PE class.

• Friday marks the end of Quarter 2 and Semester 1. Grades will be due after Winter Break, but many teachers may post their grades to Infinite Campus.

• For 8th Graders, a separate message will be sent out regarding course selection for BHS and 9th Grade–keep an eye out for that message, which will contain a helpful video to review together with your student(s).

Here’s some other things happening where your support is appreciated:

• PTA is still fundraising for the Friends of King drive–monetary support for PTA comes back to all of our classrooms! See the E-Tree messages for more information, with the link to share here.

• OFEE is seeking gift card support for those who face needs during the holidays, including uncertainty with food and hunger. We ask for your generous support for this year's Holiday Gift Card fund. Donations can be made here.

• Finally, our staff holiday celebration is happening this Wednesday! Thanks to all who have donated small gifts, gift cards, and tokens of appreciation for our hard-working staff–this will truly make our team feel loved! PTA is also seeking support for anyone who would like to contribute to a potluck or to help with set-up or clean-up.
