King's Week Ahead - Week of March 23, 2026

Greetings King Families,
We have a full week before we head off to Spring Break. After that, we will have our last push before end-of-year testing begins, and students are able to show off what they have learned. In these next weeks, please emphasize and support students in strong attendance and being on time to classes to maximize their learning.
Here’s what to expect this week:
On Tuesday, March 24, there will be a short School Site Council meeting from 6:00 - 6:30 PM on Google Meet.
On Wednesday, March 25, we will have our Cobra-thon! Continue to encourage collecting pledges and participation–let’s promote physical activity and health!
On Wednesday, students will also engage in a schoolwide day of learning. In light of recent news and reports, BUSD will continue to engage in learning that honors our farmworkers, uplifting the legacies of our Chicanx/Latinx and Filipinx communities.
Wednesday evening, a Chamber concert will be held in the Auditorium from 7:00 - 8:00 PM.
Thursday, March 26, the 7th Grade class will have their annual field trip to the Tide Pools.
Thursday evening, we will have Open House from 6:30 - 8:00 PM, with a PTA light dinner for sale in the Main Building courtyard from 6:00 - 6:30 PM. This coming week, students will be given this worksheet to fill out and bring home.
On Friday, March 27, the 8th Grade class will take their panoramic class photo.
Looking further ahead:
Spring Break will be from March 30 - April 3. Classes will resume on April 6.
