Greetings King Families,
We hope you have a restful three day weekend! As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, March 16, a no-school and non-duty day in BUSD. Classes will resume on Tuesday, March 17.
Here’s what to expect this week:
We are now in Quarter 4! Grades will be due for teachers this week. Be sure to check Infinite Campus to monitor progress as we push into the last part of the year.
On Tuesday, March 17, there is a School Site Council meeting from 6:00 - 7:00 PM on Google Meet.
March 25 is the Cobra-Thon in PE classes! Encourage participation and gathering of pledges to support our final PTA fundraiser!
On Thursday, March 19, the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) will have a meeting from 5:30 - 6:30 PM on Google Meet.
Friday, March 20, the 6th Grade will have their Cal Performances field trip to UC Berkeley.
Reminders:
We have noticed a trend of cars double-parked during end-of-day pick ups in the last couple of weeks, especially on Grant Street. We want to remind our families and caregivers to coordinate pick-up further away from campus–even a block or two supports our neighbors, who should not be blocked in or impacted by traffic from our school. Thanks for your support!
As a reminder, Open House for Middle Schools is on March 26, with programming from 6:45 - 8:00 PM. More information to come in the next few weeks.
Thanks and have a wonderful week ahead!
With love,
Michael Tison Yee
