King's Week Ahead - Week of April 13, 2026

Greetings King Families,

We thank you for your support and cooperation with the changes to after school pick up near Grant Street. Congestion is noticeably lighter, and it feels safer for our student pedestrians. Thanks!

Additionally, students may have noticed the newly-installed gates at the rear of school. While these provide increased security to campus during the day, they will remain unlocked during public access hours (after 6:00 PM) and in time for students to walk in to 0 Period.

Here’s what to expect this week:

  • On Tuesday, 8th Grade AAPI will have a field trip to SF Japantown.

  • On Saturday, King will host the 5th-to-6th Transition Fair, organized by the African American Success Framework. Spread the word to elementary families—it will be a chance for folks to ease their transition to middle school next year!

Additionally, don’t forget that Cobra-Thon pledge envelopes are due back to the school! Please help your student to return those to their Advisory teacher or the Main Office.

Thanks and have a wonderful week ahead!

With love,

Michael Tison Yee
