School Governance Council

The School Governance Council (SGC), headed by the principal, is made up of parents, teachers, and staff who meet monthly during the school year to focus on school climate, student achievement, and the school’s budget to evaluate the best plan of action to keep our school moving upward toward its goals. The SGC helps determine funding priorities, develop a budget, and update the school’s site plan to support teachers, students, and families.

Principal Levenson is looking for a few good parents to join in the conversation by participating in the SGC. Serving is a great way to understand the inner workings of the school and to help make a difference in students’ lives. If you are interested, please contact Principal Levenson at

Nominations and elections take place in September.  Membership on the SGC is open to all families.

There is usually a workshop offered by the district to prepare parents and staff who will serve on the SGC.
