Cycle of Change’s Bike Mobile will be visiting King on Wed., Oct. 17.
What: Cycle of Change’s Bike Mobile
When: Wednesday, Oct. 17 2:00–5:30 pm. First come, first served.
Where: Grant Street in front of the school
What: Bring any bike with a flat tire or that needs new brakes or a tune up and the mechanics at Cycles of Change will work with you to learn how to repair it while making the repair for free! Bike must have wheels and gears.
How to participate: Sign up at the Fall Community Party this Saturday or in the School office so Cycles will know how many mechanics and bike parts to bring. Signing up does not guarantee you a spot. The event is first come, first served, so come early to secure a spot! You can also sign up by sending Amber Evans an email at amber@thetrollfamily.com by 8:00 am Tuesday Oct 16. You can drop off and lock the inoperable bike in the morning in the bike cage and have your student bring it out to the Bike Mobile after school.
If demand is greater than the time available we can schedule a follow-up event. This event has been scheduled primarily to ensure any 6th grader with a bike can use it for the October/November Bike Field Trips being coordinated with Cycles of Change.
